Coachella
Allowed items
Coachella's official FAQ caps bags at 18 x 13 x 8.5 inches when packed, checked against a sizing box the way airlines check carry-ons. Water bottles must be empty plastic, 64oz or less, with no metal, glass, aluminum, or steel. Hydration packs are plastic only and 2 liters or under. Aerosol sunscreen is prohibited, and so are standard umbrellas — but a small, non-metal parasol (paper or light wood such as bamboo, up to 23in long and 32in wide when open) clears the gate. Rules move between editions, so read the current FAQ before you pack.
Use the official policy
Entry, bag, camping, and vehicle policies can be updated before an edition. Open the official source close to departure and make your own packing decision from that current policy.
Do not plan around loopholes
We do not publish prohibited-item workarounds. When an item is unclear, leave it out or contact the event directly.
