Allowed items
Recent editions skip a strict clear-bag rule but bar large or framed backpacks from the venue — a fanny pack or small hydration pack clears security faster. Into the venue itself, only one factory-sealed water bottle (one gallon max) or an empty hydration pack/reusable bottle is allowed, refilled at the free stations inside; outside food and alcohol stop at the venue gate. Camping is looser: unopened beer and wine are fine (one case of beer and one box of wine per person), but glass, kegs, and liquor aren't, and camp alcohol can't travel into the venue with you.

Entry, bag, camping, and vehicle policies can be updated before an edition. Open the official source close to departure and make your own packing decision from that current policy.
Do not plan around loopholes
We do not publish prohibited-item workarounds. When an item is unclear, leave it out or contact the event directly.

These items will be confiscated and may not be returned. Factory-sealed, single-dose naloxone nasal spray devices are permitted.
Prohibited everywhere, including camping
- Fireworks, flying prayer lanterns, or explosives
- Grills, open flame, candles, or charcoal — small Coleman-style campstoves are the one exemption
- Generators, except RVs with built-in generators and solar generators
- Gas or fuel cans of any kind, except small propane containers up to 1lb for camp stoves
- Box trucks
- Large sound systems, externally amplified sound, or speakers larger than 11 x 5 x 5 inches
- Glass — mirrors are allowed
- Kegs or hard liquor
- Drones
- Laser pointers
- Illegal substances
- Nitrous oxide
- Weapons of any kind
- Tiki torches
- Golf clubs
- Hammers
- Unauthorized merchandise
- Helium tanks
- Bicycles, skateboards, or scooters
- Boats or hard-sided flotation devices
- One Wheelers
- Native American headdresses
- Confederate flags
- Threatening signs or apparel
Additionally prohibited inside the venue
- Outside alcohol, food, or beverage — see the water policy for the exception
- Chairs, beach chairs, or lawn furniture
- Inflatable furniture — WindPouches or similar that do not require an air pump are allowed
- Audio recording equipment, professional cameras, video equipment
- Glass or glass containers of any kind
- Knives of any kind
- Framed or large backpacks
- Picnic baskets
- Tents
- Wagons, strollers, or carts
- Frisbees
- Large markers, paint pens, or spray paint
- Unauthorized soliciting, advertising, handbills, posters, product sampling or giveaways
