Hydration stations are plentiful — bring the empty bottle and skip the $5 water. Enter through the Lady Bird gate if the Barton Springs East line looks long; both feed the same park, but Barton Springs draws the crowd walking straight down from South Congress.

Can I bring sunscreen and a fan into ACL?
Sunscreen is fine as a lotion or stick in a container of 3.4 ounces or less; aerosol cans get turned away at the gate. Handheld and portable misting fans are allowed too, though any fan with a water bottle attached has to come in with that bottle empty.
