packing list

Use this list in four passes.

1. Start with ID, ticket, payment, water, phone power, and medical basics.
2. Add the festival-specific items, then adjust for camping, travel, and expected conditions.
3. Use the linked official source shortly before departure to confirm bag, entry, and permitted-item policies.
4. Save or print the final list after your last forecast and travel check.

Pack for this place.

EDC runs on a flipped clock — gates open in the evening and sets run past sunrise. Desert nights start warm and end cold, and the speedway kicks up dust when the wind picks up.

The party ends at dawn — your 6am self will thank you for the layer and the earplugs. Decide your shuttle or drive plan before night one; the trip back to the Strip is the hardest part of EDC.

Rules are the final word.

Recent editions allow CLEAR bags up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches, or a non-clear small clutch up to 6 x 9 inches. Hydration packs (clear or not) are fine with two main compartments and one smaller one, but must be empty at the gate. Festival totems are allowed up to 10 feet tall if built from lightweight material like foam or PVC — no solid metal. Aerosol cans, glass, coolers, outside food and drink, tents, large umbrellas, chairs, blankets, and professional recording gear are barred; e-cigs and vapes are explicitly allowed. Dress for it.

EDC dressing is nocturnal: you leave the hotel at sunset. Rave wear, kandi, and reflective everything are the norm — but build it on a base that survives ten hours of dancing and a 40-degree temperature swing. The full what-to-wear guide covers night layers, footwear, and the extras.
